This beautiful video titled “Mankind is No Island” recently won first prize at Tropfest NY. Directed by Jason van Genderen, it was shot entirely on a cell phone with a budget of $57.
Wow! Turn about being what it is, I am posting that on my blog.
I am reminded of my trip to San Diego with fellow employees and how most of them reacted to the homeless people that we walked past on night on the way to dinner. I was appalled by their behavior and comments to the people.
On the way back from dinner a woman who was resting with her dog asked if she could have any leftovers. I had all ready planned for this and had almost a full meal for the two to share.
I think of "Goose Man" a decorated war veteran that lived near the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. I saw him every day while I walked my dogs. At first, he was concerned about his "territory" and having someone invading his privacy. Later he acclimated to me and the dogs.
