Saturday evening, nephew Bob and I colored Easter eggs. Bob is 15.90136986 years old and I am 42.9616438 years old. We are both probably a bit old for this activity but the inner child is strong in us. After the eggs were colored, there were four cups of colored water destined for the drain. We decided to put it to work using a bit of strange imagination and paper towels.
The first was a Tibetan Prayer Flag. Can you guess what we prayed for?
The next was tic tac toe using drops of dye instead of X's and O's. It's hard to see but the 15.90136986 year old beat me every time. I think the dye absorbed through my hands and obstructed my cognitive skills. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

This is GORGEOUS! Just wonderful! Wow, you two are talented.
And Bob's birthday is coming up I see! End of May? :)
You're WAY more creative than I am, that is for sure.
And by the way, you don't look a day over 42.5341986!
I haven't done the Easter Egg dye thing since I was a kid. I sometimes get the urge to do it, but never go to all the trouble. Maybe next year. :-)
Great idea to use the left over for further creativity with paper towels.
The prayer flag for apple pie was cute!
Wow...very cool! Now I wish I could get some egg die and make crafty things in my kitchen.
Thing One was having stress because his eggs were not the perfect work of art he was striving for. I introduced him to abstract egg art and things got better.
The little one dunked and dabbed and daubed quite happily,
I love painting eggs with them, 7 and 11 right now, hoping it will last a while.
Your so creative - what lovely paintings!
Glad to know you've had a great holiday too:-)
Psychedelic:)
Now why on earth didnt I think of that? Very nice indeed
I think the dye absorbed through my hands and obstructed my cognitive skills.
