The New Year Intents (not in tents)

We'll be ringing in the new year with a few friends tonight. Maybe we'll actually see midnight this year. Any bets?

Resolutions suck. I'm tired of being disappointed when another year has slipped by without accomplishing the tough resolutions. I am looking forward to 2009 and have made a few very attainable resolutions for the upcoming year. Wait, I'm not even going to call them resolutions and have that stigma placed upon them. Rather, here are my intents for 2009:

1. I will say "ott nine" as much as possible as it's the last of the "ott" years this century.

2. I will bring my re-usable shopping bags to ALL stores, not only the grocery store.

3. I will listen to ALL the songs in my iTunes folder and remove the ones I always skip over. According to iTunes, it will take me 12.2 days to listen to them all. Yikes!

4. I will continue to drive the hubby (a.k.a. the prince of darkness) crazy by leaving lights on around the house in rooms I am no longer in and blame it on the ghosts.

5. Rico and his kitties will receive lots of love and TLC.

6. I will not plant 23 tomato plants in our garden as I did last year. I will also not attempt to make homemade ketchup again. Blech.

7. And last but not least, I will grow taller to lower the body mass index number. Oh damn.

Have a safe and happy new year all!

I once was down wind of a ketchup factory in Indianapolis ... such a smell!

Ott nine sounds better than oh nine, fur sure!

Dang, I gave up on otts in ott-two. Shouldn't have. I will join you in your campaign to otticize the last rightful ott.

If you need a home for some extra tomatoes, I'm always willing to take some off your hands...

Excellent resolutions. I could do some like that. HNY!

I don't like the word resolution either... It's like I'm resigned to do something I don't want to. Yuck.

Luv your ott nine and I do use my cloth bags every where I go. That is unless I forget to put them back in the car~ I have around 11including the insulated green one :) Love them, mean it!

Wishing you, the hubby and all furry creatures a happy and warm fuzzy-wuzzy New Year with lots and lots of good stuff!

Happy New Year, try yoga to get taller ( and feel better). Hey, it can't hurt. Namaste!

I "cleaned out" my iPod a few weeks ago. But it only holds 450 songs. I can't imagine doing thru my whole iTunes folder.

Happy New Year!

Does this mean there will be more or less tomato plants?

The Prince of Darkness void has been filled by Mr. Balou -- how funny! My father is probably sitting somewhere right now saying "slime b*stard" about the changing of the guard.

I look forward to ott nine and will try to find something wonderful to accomplish on 09/09/09.

I love number 4 :) Though 7 is funny too. I heard a commercial on the radio today where the "resolution" was to gain 15 pounds by June as he was being realistic with his resolutions this year! It made me laugh.

I don't make resolutions. I think I always figure that I know when something needs to be changed, and why wait until January 1 when I know it needs to be changed in September?

lol! We made the same mistake with the tomatoes (planting too many plants, not making homemade catsup).

My one resolution this year is not making any more resolutions ;-)

Happy New Year!

I hear you about the tomato plants. Last year I planted a cutting garden instead, it was so much more pleasurable!
