So happy I could jig!

It's on the way from Massachusetts! Should be arriving Monday or Tuesday! I'm so happy I could jig! What is it you ask? It's my next adventure. The fulfillment of a 2 year flame that hasn't burned out. The cause of my family and friends reply, "That's different." The reason my hubbie will need to stock up on earplugs.

Here it comes....

Are you ready?....

Ta daaaa!!!

It's that concertina thing. It's not quite the dream concertina I had initially hoped for but I'll start out with this baby.

As often quickly happens, the related song quickly comes to mind. Thanks to The Who:

"Mama's got a squeeze box
She wears on her chest
And when Daddy comes home
He never gets no rest

'Cause she's playing all night
And the music's all right
Mama's got a squeeze box
Daddy never sleeps at night

Well the kids don't eat
And the dog can't sleep
There's no escape from the music
In the whole damn street

'Cause she's playing all night
And the music's all right
Mama's got a squeeze box
Daddy never sleeps at night

She goes in and out and in and out and in and out and in and out

She's playing all night
And the music's all tight
Mama's got a squeeze box
Daddy never sleeps at night

She goes, squeeze me, come on and squeeze me
Come on and tease me like you do
I'm so in love with you
Mama's got a squeeze box
Daddy never sleeps at night"

So, what DOES Rico think of it?

actonbell: I'll have to discover that one! If you go to the "concertina thing" link in this post, at the bottom of that post there are a couple of song links with concertinas playing.

Voyageur: That's definitely a song I will need to learn! LOL! I'll let you know what Rico thinks once it arrives. I have a feeling it will be a good alternative to a shock collar.

Now I understand why there is a hole in your ceiling ! You jumped for joy ! thanks for your comment on my Waterloo, lol !

Our king is a very simple and funny guy he has a lot of humor and laughs all the time. The queen was an Italian princess. They did their work and multiplied, three children and 9 grandchildren ! (some ugly people pretend they are too expensive) In general all Belgians are happy to have Queen and King, it's much more romantic then all these old presidents who fall into pieces ! But I doubt that the king will danse, he has a bad back !

Gattina: Just so everyone knows what's happening, Gattina is hosting this day of Lifecruisers (link at right) cyber-cruise in Waterloo, Belgium. Friday we started in Stockholm, Sweden and Saturday was spent in Oslo, Norway. I've been cyber-stalking royalty along the way. I didn't know all these places had royalty...and handsome princes to cyber-dance with! ;)

Oh my ! I forgot to ask the cook to prepare something ! Now I can't find him, have to ask Mrs. Lifecruiser if he is in her cabin, you never know !

I came shockingly close to buying a dulcimer in rural Indiana once, though I didn't know how to play it. I didn't buy the dulcimer. Sometimes I regret that decision. So way to go, and enjoy!

that IS different. :)

Balou: Do you know how to play the concertina?

You do realize that I live within your county...

When is the hubby ordering those earplugs? Perhaps there's a discount for multiple orders? ;-)

Congrats to you on this, your dream. You go girl! And I'll polish up on my concertina dancing steps.

Shake that booty and you'll never grow old! You'll live longer than that concertina thing.

I have also wondered how easy it is to play the cencertina - please let us know. I went to a folk concert a while back and it was fascinating to watch. I have been learning the guitar for a few years and are pretty bad at that, perhaps I could be bad at the concertina too?

tara: LOL! I will keep everyone updated on the concertina progress. Maybe we could form a group: the bad concertinists?
